Adding a Weblog or Blog
Applications in Allwebco web templates
A blog is a frequently updated online personal journal or diary. WordPress, a free and open-source content management system (CMS), is one popular blog option. For integrating a blog into any Allwebco template, see the following recommendations.
A blog with Allwebco hosting
If you have an Allwebco hosting account
you can install WordPress in your cPanel control panel under "Softaculous" or "Fantastico De Luxe" or under "applications" (Softaculous also includes other blog application choices). Follow the instructions in your control panel and refer to the WordPress support site
for assistance. Once you have completed the installation and setup, you can add links to your weblog application in the template "menu.js" or on any of the template html pages.
As well as WordPress
, other blog options like b2evolution
and Open Blog
are also available with cPanel hosting that includes Softaculous, like Allwebco web hosting
, and can be installed in your hosting control panel or cPanel.
A blog with other hosting
Check in your hosting control panel or contact your hosting company to see if they provide blogs or weblog applications. Optionally you can search on-line for a weblog app. If you have PHP installed in your hosting account you can install the WordPress weblog yourself. See the WordPress website
for the script download and setup instructions. Once you have completed the installation and setup you can add links to you weblog application in the template "menu.js" or on any template html page. Allwebco Design does not provide support for weblog setup or integration, check the support included with your application.
Adding a Blog to a template page
An easy way to embed a blog directly into a template HTML page is by using IFrame code. Some Blogs may work embedded inside an IFrame, and some may not. Be sure to test the embedded Blog in multiple browsers to see that it is working properly. See IFrames support
for more details and code.
