FrontPage Problems
Editing webpages in FrontPage
Allwebco templates were originally created in Notepad but they can be edited using Microsoft FrontPage software. Because the templates were created to be used with any HTML editor, they do not contain proprietary files specifically for FrontPage.
FrontPage extensions are no longer supported by Microsoft so they are not available with most hosting companies.
General Editing Problems
When editing in FrontPage you will not see your menu, header, sidebar or footer because they are global Javascript "include" files. You will want to have your web browser open at the same time and drag and drop webpages from your template folder into the browser to view your updates as you are editing.
On-Line Editing Problems - FP Extensions
For editing on-line using Microsoft FrontPage. FrontPage extensions are no longer available with most hosting companies and are no longer supported by Microsoft.
You can alternately edit your HTML webpages on your local hard drive and use FTP software for uploading, eliminating the need for FP extension to be installed.
Outdated Information: If you are trying to edit in FrontPage but the site is not updating you may need to install "FrontPage Extensions". To install the extensions, go to your control panel at "http://your-domain.com/cgi-bin/plusmail", click on the "FrontPage" link and install them. It may take a couple of hours to start working.
